Xtmas term cover

Ho,ho, ho, Christmas time is already here and in our class we need to make a cover for all the work of the term. I´ve chosen to make an artcraft with a rein deer I found on Google images. What I´m going to do is to make the 6 years old students to colour it, to cut it following some directions and finally to get some white paper (it can be tissues, napkins or whatever), so they can make little round circles and stick them on the deer´s snout. Finally, we can take some red plasticine and stick it all over the nose.

This is a warm-up song for the children that can be sung when they come to the English classroom.

You can find it in "Super Simple songs" CD´s. To make it more active, you can mime it while you sing it so the students get involved actively and can memorise it better.

How to make a candy box

In year 1º, we´re doing some crafts to sell in a Christmas Market that will take place next week. We´re making candy boxes with sliced-cheese boxes and some candies.

Materials:
 - cheese box

- Candies

- Water colours

- Glue and barnish

The process is to get the empty box and colour it. Then, you get the top of the box and using a brush, you put glue all over the top. Afterwards, you stick the candies and you let dry for a day. Finally, you barnish the whole box.

Banksy

For  an ART lesson we could talk about Banksy, a British graffiti artist and painter whose identity is unconfirmed. Banksy displays his art on public surfaces such as walls and even going as far as to build physical prop pieces. We can talk about values and ethics with his graffitis and paintings and work with his pieces of Art in class as creatively as you can think.
